Notice to all users that have software subscriptions with UW-IT:
UW-IT cannot process your software cancellation request because it’s being submitted after the cancellation deadline of 6/1. Your software license will automatically be renewed using the funding source you provided.
What you can do:
Cancel this 2024-2025 auto-renewal: You can cancel now, and the cancellation will be effective next year on June 30, 2025. If this is what you want to do, please reply, and we will cancel the license so it does not auto-renew again next year. (If you cancel now, you’ll get confirmation on or after August 5, 2024.)

Transfer the software license: To transfer the license to another UW user, submit a license reassignment request anytime during the 2024-2025 subscription period. Please send us both users’ full names and UW NetIDs, and we will process the reassignment.
Deadlines for cancellation:
- The cancellation deadline for Adobe, CrashPlan, Matlab, SAS, SPSS, and Zoom is June 1.
- The cancellation deadline for all Microsoft Products, including Dynamics 365, Project Online 3/5, Visio Plan 2, and Visual Studio, is April 1st.
An individual license can be transferred to a different person upon request during the current license period. To do so, email help@uw.edu.
